Sportzentrum Kuhberg
About the Event
The Symphony of Steel is entering its 6th round, this time during the spring season in May. So, while the date has been moved back, the event will once again take place in the Kuhberghalle. The format will also remain similar to the last time, with three tournament formats:
- Longsword tournament open (DDHF ranking tournament) with 36 spots
- Longsword tournament women+ (DDHF ranking tournament) with 20 spots
- Longsword tournament for beginners with 20 spots
So reserve the 3rd of May 2025 in your calendar and check back here regularly to make sure you don’t miss any updates!
Registration for the tournament will be possible on the Schwabenfedern event page on February 15 and 16, 2025! The tournament places will then be allocated at random from all registrations. The participation fee is 49€. We ask all spectators to register as well, a free ticket will be available from February 17th. Please visit the registration page for all details.
As the individual tournaments overlap in time, each person can only take part in one tournament.

Rules
We use the DDHF tournament rulebook for the Symphony of Steel in the revised version 2.3. You can find the updated rules in the following PDF.

Equipment Specifications
The equipment requirements are summarized in the following PDF. The equipment specifications are to be adhered to 100%, a violation of the specifications can lead to tournament exclusion!

Turnierformat
Herrenturnier
Vorrunde: Poolphase mit sechs Pools à sechs TeilnehmerInnen.
Hauptrunde: Pro Pool kommen die zwei höchstplatzierten Teilnehmer direkt weiter, die sechs Drittplatzierten kämpfen in einem Zwischenentscheid um die vier verbleibenden Eliminationplätze. Mit den 16 Weitergekommenen wird eine Single Elimination durchgeführt.
Damen- und Anfängerturnier
Vorrunde: Poolphase mit vier Pools à fünf TeilnehmerInnen.
Hauptrunde: Pro Pool kommen die drei höchstplatzierten Teilnehmer weiter. Mit den 12 Weitergekommenen wird eine Single Elimination durchgeführt.
Bei stark reduzierter TeilnehmerInnenzahl wird das Turnierformat wenn nötig angepasst und den TeinehmerInnen rechtzeitig mitgeteilt.

Das Sportzentrum selbst hat relativ wenig Parkplätze (oberer Parkplatz am Egginger Weg und unterer Parkplatz beim ASB). Weitere Parkplätze sind am Schulzentrum Kuhberg verfügbar. Es dürfen explizit auch Lehrerparkplätze genutzt werden. Bei Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln kann die Straßenbahn Linie 2 bis zur Endhaltestelle „Kuhberg Schulzentrum“ genutzt werden. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die Buswendeschleife am Kuhberg von parkenden Fahrzeugen freigehalten wird!
